Measurement Method

Measure Once, Choose With Confidence

For the most accurate result, measure over light clothing, keep the tape level, and avoid pulling the tape too tight. When between sizes, choose based on how you prefer your activewear to feel during movement.

01

Chest & Bust

Measure around the fullest part of the chest or bust while keeping the tape relaxed and parallel to the floor. This is the key reference for T-shirts, training tops, sports bras, hoodies, and jackets.

02

Waist

Measure around the natural waistline, usually the narrowest point of the torso. Use this number for leggings, shorts, joggers, sweatpants, and fitted workout sets.

03

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat. This helps determine the right size for leggings, training shorts, joggers, and sweatpants without pulling across the body.

04

Inseam

Measure from the top of the inner leg down to your preferred hem point. This is especially useful for leggings, joggers, sweatpants, and full-length training sets.

Fit Intelligence

Choose By Movement, Not Only Size

Different training pieces are designed to perform differently. Use the notes below to decide whether you should stay true to size, size up for layering, or size down for a more compressive feel.

Compression

Sports Bras & Leggings

Choose your measured size for supportive compression. Size up if you prefer softer pressure at the waistband, underband, or thigh.

Training

T-Shirts & Tops

Stay true to size for a clean athletic shape. Size up if you prefer extra airflow, shoulder room, or a relaxed gym-to-street look.

Layering

Jackets & Hoodies

Choose your usual size for a polished outer layer. Size up if wearing over thick sweatshirts, thermal tops, or multiple base layers.

Recovery

Joggers & Sweatpants

For a tapered athletic silhouette, stay true to size. For a roomier recovery fit, choose one size up while checking the waist range.

i

Between Two Sizes

If your measurements sit between two sizes, choose the smaller size for a closer training fit and the larger size for comfort, layering, or everyday wear. For high-stretch items, body measurements are more reliable than garment measurements.

Shape Retention

Care That Protects Fit

Performance fabrics hold their shape best when cared for with low heat, gentle washing, and minimal friction. Proper care helps maintain compression, stretch recovery, and surface finish.

Wash Cold

Use cold water with similar colors. Turn garments inside out to protect outer surfaces, printed details, and smooth fabric finishes.

Avoid High Heat

Air dry when possible or tumble dry low. High heat can weaken stretch fibers and may reduce the long-term recovery of performance fabrics.

Skip Fabric Softener

Fabric softener can coat technical fibers and reduce moisture-wicking performance. Use a mild detergent for a cleaner athletic feel.

Close Zippers

Before washing jackets, hoodies, and joggers with hardware, close zippers and fasten closures to reduce abrasion inside the wash cycle.

Store Flat Or Folded

Fold leggings, sports bras, and compression pieces neatly instead of hanging them for long periods, which can stretch key support areas.

Refresh Between Wears

Let activewear fully dry before placing it in a hamper or drawer. This keeps fabric fresher and helps preserve its smooth hand feel.

Fit Questions

Size Guide FAQ

These answers are designed to help you make a confident size choice before ordering. All FAQ items are closed by default for a clean browsing experience.

Should I size up or down for a more relaxed fit?

Choose one size up if you prefer more room through the chest, waist, hips, or thighs. This is especially helpful for hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, sweatpants, and layering pieces.

Should sports bras and leggings feel tighter than regular clothing?

Yes, they may feel more supportive than casual clothing because they are designed for movement and stretch recovery. The fit should feel secure, but it should not restrict breathing or create sharp pressure points.

What should I do if my top and bottom sizes are different?

For workout sets, choose the size that best fits the area where you need the most comfort. If a set includes both fitted and relaxed pieces, use your bust or chest measurement for the top and waist or hip measurement for the bottom.

Do hoodies and jackets allow room for layering?

Most hoodies and training jackets are intended to layer over active tops. If you plan to wear them over thicker sweatshirts or cold-weather base layers, sizing up can create a more comfortable fit.

Can I exchange an item if the fit is not right?

Yes. NexFit Wear offers free returns and exchanges within 30 days. For sizing help before or after ordering, use the single contact link at the bottom of this page.
